The Feminist Art Project
The Feminist Art Project (TFAP) is an international collaborative initiative celebrating the Feminist Art Movement and the aesthetic, intellectual and political impact of women on the visual arts, art history, and art practice, past and present. It is a strategic grassroots intervention against the ongoing erasure of women artists and arts professionals from the cultural record.
TFAP brings together and focuses attention on feminist artists, curators, authors, art critics, teachers and others across cultural backgrounds, generations and widespread locations by Promoting and Archiving diverse feminist art events, education, publications and opportunities through its website and calendar; Facilitating Regional Program development and networking worldwide; Organizing the TFAP@CAA Day of Panels and other activities in conjunction with the annual CAA conferences.
Founded in 2005, TFAP is a program of the Center for Women in the Arts and Humanities and an Affiliated Society of the College Art Association (CAA).
