CWAH is excited to announce that renowned artist, Muriel Hasbun, has been selected to be the 2021-22 Estelle Lebowitz Endowed Visiting Artist at Rutgers. Born in El Salvador to a Salvadoran-Palestinian-Christian father and a French-Polish-Jewish mother, photographer Muriel Hasbun addresses migration, displacement, and her unique family history throughout her work. She works through an intergenerational, transnational and transcultural vision, constructing contemporary narratives and establishing a space for dialogue where individual and collective memory spark new questions about identity and place.
