When the Waters Break:The Dialectics of Representation
Lecture byMay Stevens, 2006 Estelle Lebowitz Visiting Artist in Residence

May Stevens will offer this lecture to mark the opening of an exhibition of her works on paper in the Douglass Library galleries. Ms. Stevens is a pioneering feminist artist, known for her large scale paintings and smaller scale works on paper. She has had numerous one person shows, including a recent exhibition at the National Museum of Women in the Arts.  Please take this exceptional opportunity to meet this highly esteemed artist, feminist, and political activist.
