Artist Talk: Carrie Moyer

Moyer’s paintings approach abstraction from all angles, nationalities & sexes, associating freely with the artists in Alfred Stieglitz’s circle, W.P.A.-era murals, mid century Color Field painting and, in some cases, Feminist art of the 1970s. She shows frequently at Canada Gallery, and is a recent recipient of both the Joan Mitchel Grant & the Anonymous Was A Woman Award.
