Re-Thinking Social Documentary Photography

Please join us for the graduate symposium Re-Thinking Social Documentary Photography. Keynote Speaker Katherine A. Bussard (Peter C. Bunnell Curator of Photography, Princeton University Art Museum) presents Social Documentary Photography: Some Questions. Rutgers graduate students from the Department of Art History examine the topics The Social Documentary Project, Social Documentary and Formalism, and Social Documentary and Identity.

This student symposium is the culminating event for a graduate exhibition seminar, Reading Documetary Photography, taught by Professor Andres Zervigon, Rutgers Department of Art History, and Donna Gustafson, Ph.D., the Zimmerli’s Andrew W. Mellon Liaison for Academic Programs and Curator.

A reception follows. The event is free and open to the public.
