The Women’s and Gender Studies Program and Division of Student Affairs at Rutgers University-Camden seek presenters for a one-day conference on Friday, March 3, 2017 on the campus of Rutgers University in Camden, New Jersey.
We invite faculty, undergraduate and graduate students, activists, scholars, artists in all fields to propose panels, papers, roundtable discussions, and workshops. Proposals are welcome to address the conference theme or to focus on other topics related to gender.
Consecutive breakout sessions consisting of panels, workshops, and roundtable discussions will be from 10 a.m.-11 a.m. and 11:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m. Proposals may include a single paper abstract or may include several presenters’ related abstracts for a panel discussion. Workshop and roundtable proposals should describe discussion topic and objectives. We anticipate 4-5 sessions during each hour.
Conference organizers welcome proposals from all disciplines and are especially interested in proposals for participatory workshops and/or proposals that address the following topics:
- Leadership
- Global Issues
- The gender gap in politics
- STEM fields and women’s leadership
- Social Media
- Motherhood/Fatherhood/Family
- Workplace Success/Discrimination
- Activism
- Gender equity in higher education
- K-12 education
- Human Trafficking/Sex Industry
- Arts and Culture
- Race/Racism
- Gender and Religion
